Jodhaa Akbar (2008)

Ashutosh Gowariker's epic historical romance starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai used Vasai Fort extensively. The fort stood in for various Mughal-era locations, with its grand arches and courtyards featuring in several key scenes.

Bajirao Mastani (2015)

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus used Vasai Fort for scenes depicting the Maratha era — a fitting choice given that Chimaji Appa (Bajirao's brother) conquered the fort in 1739. The fort's battlements and ruined interiors provide the perfect period atmosphere.

Mohenjo Daro (2016)
